1959 Fabian
In 1959, Topps licensed the latest teen heartthrob, Fabian, as the subject of their newest non-sport card set. Unlike most of his clean cut contemporaries, Fabian was marketed as a James Dean bad boy with a snarling baritone voice. His career launched in 1958, but he really took off the year this set appeared, recording no less than eight hits over the following year and landing a movie deal that saw the release of three films during the same period.
